This policy explains what information D3pl04abl3 (d3pl04abl3.me) collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can while still running a publication that's paid for by advertising.

Information you give us

If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, the subject you choose and your message. We use it to reply and keep it only as long as the conversation needs. If you sign up for our newsletter, the form is provided by Sphere CRM (link.sphere-crm.com), which stores your details and sends the emails for us. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter using the link in the email.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server records basic request logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. We use these logs for security and to fix errors, and we keep them for a limited period.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We don't set cookies of our own for tracking. The third-party services below may set cookies or use similar technologies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people find them. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type and referral source. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. Where the law requires consent for analytics cookies, we'll ask before loading it. Advertising through Revive Adserver

Ads on this site are served through Revive Adserver (servedby.revive-adserver.net). When an ad loads, the ad server receives your IP address and browser details and may set cookies to count impressions and limit how often you see the same ad. We don't give advertisers your name or email address.

Fonts and headlines from other publishers

Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when you visit. The headline lists on our pages come from public RSS feeds. Our own server fetches them, so your browser doesn't contact those publishers unless you click a headline. Once you click, their privacy policy applies. The same goes for the Google News button and any other link to a third-party site.

How long we keep information

Contact messages are kept while we're handling them and for a reasonable period afterward in case you follow up. Server logs are kept for a short, limited time. Newsletter data stays until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your rights under GDPR and UK GDPR

If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Your rights under California law (CCPA and CPRA)

If you're a California resident, you can ask what personal information we've collected about you, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't sell names or email addresses. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

Children

This site is written for working professionals and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and we limit who can access form submissions. No website can promise perfect security, so please don't send passwords, keys or other credentials through our contact form.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. To make a privacy request or ask a question, use our contact page and choose "General" as the subject.
